The newly opened Grovedale Winery & Vineyard is situated on a beautiful and historical piece of land across from Wyalusing Valley High School in Wyalusing, Pennsylvania. Owner, winemaker, and vineyard manager, Jeff Homer, along with his wife, Kim, is proud to continue farming land that has been in the family since 1822. With family, tradition, and heritage being cornerstones of their beliefs, they kept the original name of the farm, Grovedale, and worked to produce a new type of crop that would capture the essence of the land and yield the best wine possible.

Please stop by Grovedale Winery & Vineyard to indulge your senses. Your Grovedale experience can include:

  • Wine tasting
  • Touring the winery
  • A walk through the vineyard
  • A picnic in a picturesque setting
  • Touring the Old Red House, which is on the National Historic Register
  • Visiting the Wyalusing Valley Museum, located on the property

“We believe that great wines start with great grapes,” says Jeff. “We have five acres of vines planted with ten varieties of vinifera and French hybrid grapes. Each year we strive to increase our knowledge so that the best grapes possible are grown to formulate the distinctive tastes of our Grovedale wine.”

“We use simple winemaking techniques that focus on letting the grapes determine the type of wine they will become,” he continues. “We have everything from dry reds and whites to semi-sweet whites, as well as sweet wines.”
